A Message from District 7 Governor Elizabeth “tootie” Perry

Well we are in it for real now! No turning back. The 2011-12 year has started and started off with a bang with an amazing Leadership Conference in Knoxville. And what a wonderful family reunion it was. I encourage you to attend our other reunions: Spring Convention in Nashville in April, the Leadership Cruise in August and the Fall Board Meeting in Augusta.

As announced at Leadership, my theme for the year is More than a Federation. A Family. And I hope that I, and the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of District 7, will help you feel more and more like a member of our big, extended family. Stay tuned to this website as we get closer to finalizing its facelift, updating it with valuable information, tools and links you’ll need for a successful club year, such as ADDY Awards, Club Achievement, Membership and Programs. And to connect you more with your District 7 family. It should be unveiled any day now.

In addition to this site, we will continue using the communications tools Board Chair Laura Burton implemented as Governor: Newsletter, E-news Updates, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. So like us, follow us and join us so we can further connect and create further discussion of District happenings and industry news. And if you haven’t connected with our District 7 Drop Box, please let me or any Executive Committee member know, so that we can send you an invite. All of the important documents you need, including the Master Calendar and Membership Directory are in our Drop Box.
