Letter from the Governor

I hope this letter finds you all well and off to an amazing start to the new AAF year!

For the next 12 months, we have a phenomenal opportunity.  We have the chance to make a difference in the advertising industry, to give back to a community that has in a multitude of ways been beneficial to us collectively and individually.  Through AAF, we have a heightened opportunity to share our voice as it relates to a passion of all things advertising.

I am overjoyed, absolutely fired up, at the opportunity to serve each of you as we continue our journey toward excellence. This year, the primary goal of AAF District 7 is to exceed the expectations of our membership.  We are committed to delivering value, being a recurrent resource, to providing tremendous professional and club growth opportunities and to bridging connectivity gaps.

In the coming weeks, all members of AAF District 7 are invited to attend the annual Leadership Conference.  Appropriately titled Leadership & Lagniappe, AAF New Orleans is hosting what is arguably our most attended meeting of the year, July 17-20, at The Hyatt French Quarter.  For registration and schedule information, visit www.leadershipnola.com.  Talk to your boss!  Take it up with your spouse or partner!  Do what is needed to invest in yourself and industry by attending.  Whatever it takes, don’t miss out!  The speakers and sessions are great, the networking undeniable and if you haven’t witnessed Mouth of the South, you haven’t lived.

Each club has been challenged to accomplish a list of goals this year.  Take part in the challenge.  Get involved, stay involved and reap the rewards of your contribution.  Yesterday is just that.  Today will be gone before you know it.  Tomorrow is almost here.    There isn’t a moment to waste.  Get up.  Get moving, and let’s work together to leave it all better than we found it!

If you need me, I’m only a phone call or message away and more than happy to help with any challenge or opportunity you face.  I look forward to seeing each of you in New Orleans!
