May 2022 District Updates

D7 Fam,

I challenged each of us to think differently this year and to no surprise you surpassed all expectations. We continued to push ourselves to ask the right questions, try new programs, and adapt to the environment we were given. We were all required to think differently and as a result, had some great accomplishments. This year we were able to host our first in-person conference in two years, launched a new website, hosted a regional D7 day of service, secured a new club (welcome AAF West Tennessee!), hosted a virtual portfolio review day for students, and just completed our first-ever district-wide 5-day equity challenge.

I’m proud of what we as a district have accomplished together and it would not be possible without each of you.

As we wrap up another year and closed out at ADMERICA held in Nashville, we wanted to recognize so many of our AAF D7 winners honored for their hard work and dedication!

Congrats to all of our national winners! We would not be the BEST DISTRICT around if it were not for your time, talent, and dedication of service to AAF.

It’s truly been my honor to serve as Governor of District 7! I look forward to seeing you in August at our leadership conference, Camp AAF! Also, make sure to save the date as we head to St. Louis June 3-6, 2023 for the next ADMERICA!

With gratitude,
Michelle Clarke Payne
AAF District 7 Governor
